Visited the Detroit Institute of Arts this week. It's located in the
heart of Detroit, obviously.
They had numerous beautiful woodworking projects to look at, especially
if you include picture frames.
Ah, and they even have some works by Picasso, Rembrandt, and some of the
French impressionists (Monet, Renoir, van Gogh, Seurat, Whistler), and
more (nice room-filling fresco by Diego Rivera done in 1932 (paid for by
Edsel Ford) celebrating Detroit--Autos, Planes, Pharmaceuticals,
$12.50 + $10 (for all day parking). A relative bargain.
