Unexpected Woodworking sighting

Visited the Detroit Institute of Arts this week. It's located in the heart of Detroit, obviously. They had numerous beautiful woodworking projects to look at, especially if you include picture frames.

Ah, and they even have some works by Picasso, Rembrandt, and some of the French impressionists (Monet, Renoir, van Gogh, Seurat, Whistler), and more (nice room-filling fresco by Diego Rivera done in 1932 (paid for by Edsel Ford) celebrating Detroit--Autos, Planes, Pharmaceuticals, National Defense).

$12.50 + $10 (for all day parking). A relative bargain.

The thought underlying this post was that folks would identify other places worth visiting with ww content. For instance, I saw some appropriately carved caissons (French wooden chests), oak.
