I've had the bandsaw with the riser block for about 4 years. While I don't think it's up to cutting acres of veneer, I am happy with the $219 I paid for it.

I also have their 10" slider chop saw. I couldn't bring myself to put a Forrest blade in it because it cost more than the saw! I use it for my "knock about" and for rough work it's fine. My Bosch 4412 CSMS stays in the shop...

YMMV...

I don't know what you are looking at, but I just bought the 18g nailer for $19.99! Works fine, though I expect it will not last long. The cheap non-slide miter saw looks like a POS that would only be as a chopsaw. They have a slider for $100?! I gotta go see that.

Rick -

I ordered it over the phone after I purchased the saw. It took *Forever and a Day* Like.... 2 months... but it did arrive. Go to the website and download the product manual for the saw, item 32208. The riser parts diagram is on page 25, with part numbers. That'll shut em up.

Hope this helps

I got the 18g brad nailer (3/8-1 3/8") for $14.99 and have used it many times. While the safety mechanism will leave marks on softwoods and that foam trim stuff, I have used it often for over a year and she still shoots fine. In my opinion, if you need 2" nails you should step to a 16g gun. SS

HF has a new 10" SCMS. The old , discontinued model looked like a Makita LS1011, with a single slide rail. The new model looks like a Makita LS1013, with 2 rails. It's usually "on sale" at $99.99. I've noticed a few other of their power tools appear to be Makita designs.

look for Makita to discontinue it for a newer model then.

Here is a copy of my recent order for a riser block. I have received the roller blade guides but I haven't put them on yet. I'm also planning to purchase a selection of Timberwolf blades after the riser arrives. Should only be a few more months if the average delivery time I read about holds true.
