Hideho fellow woodfreaks!

Been away on vacation... put 10 pounds back on...frickin' beer and seafood...harrumph...*burps*

Just a quick comment on some of the projects I have been looking at in ABPW. As my 'new' newsgroup server won't let me post in some groups, I'll have to make a few comments here. As usual, it's fun to see what Dorkers are doing with their time. It's refreshing that actual wood get used in these projects and isn't a chat about equipment and tools. (Although that is cool too.)

Swingman's chair looks great...and I'm a real fan of poplar as it paints up so nice, machines well, and is dimensionally stable. I am a huge fan of mission/metropolitan-style furniture.

Saskatchewan Dave's knife-block is as cool as it gets, IMHO. I just love a good idea.

Morris is still playing with his CNC...hell, if *I* had one of those I wouldn't have time for food or sleep or *gasp* whoknowswhatelse.... maybe I ought to re-think wishing for one.

All-in-all too many great projects to mention.

Ya'll do know that I steal a lot of these ideas....but I wouldn't claim them to be my ideas (just in case I screw one up.)

Yup... shop is cooled down... making some tables for a while... back on my diet, air back in my bicycle tires (That's tyres to you Poms *G*)

Heading into fall.... my favourite time of year.

Will Schumacher pass Alfonso into the points?

I can see that you need re-motivating. I just posted some photos ob abpw of a jig built with and for the 'Bot.

Welcome back!

I hope not. Seven world championships is enough for any man. He needs to retire and let some other young driver take his turn. In a sport where the opportunities are so limited, I for one would like to see some new blood.
