Bill Willis, another of my childhood heroes is gone.
From the time they were formed in 1946, until 1955, the Cleveland
Browns simply beat everybody they played.
A big reason was Bill Willis, middle guard in a 5 man defensive line,
a popular defensive formation of the time.
Oh yes, almost forgot, Bill was one of the first black men to play pro
Time moves on.
BTW, those Browns teams spoiled me.
Except for one fluke year, the Browns haven't been worth a hoot since
1955, the last year for many of the founding members.
