No tips, but you have my sympathy. Did a 12x16 room a few years ago, complete with 7 foot wide ceiling-height brick chimney that extended into the attic. Care to guess about the squareness of the corners and the evenness of the walls?

Hide the cracks with flexible molding? If necessary, apply stiff (brick) mold, scribe, then carve it to fit the rough side with a router. Carving is slower than flexing, IMHO.
