Bulding router fence to fit back of t-slot TS fence

I have a mule accusquare table saw fence system.

I am looking to build a router fence to mount to the back side similar to the one made by Mule

plan was to get some two inch thick stock mount it to the fence with some t-slot bolts. On the "outside" of the 2 inch stock I was going to mount a t-track to allow the attachment of a split fence.

Does anyone see any issues with this? My biggest concern is that there is no way to remove or adjust the fences without using a socket set. I would need a socket set since the bolts would have to be counter sunk.

Does anyone have a better way set up a router fence on a t-slot TS fence?

Also what material should I use for this? Unless someone tells me otherwise I was planing on using mdf
