Does the sander oscillate up and down in the belt sander configuration?
If so, how high does the belt come up?
It uses a 4" belt but there is only 3" showing on the floor model.
I'm almost ready to buy it.

Yes it does oscillate in the belt mode.
Yes, at the top of the stroke the belt comes all the way up except for maybe
1/8". You can use the full 4" on the belt, 4 1/2" on the spindle. Ed snipped-for-privacy@snet.net
