Where to earth Type 90 Anglepoise Lamp

I hope you can help, I am rewiring my type 90 anglepoise lamp, using a new plastic lamp holder, new switch and new 3 cord flex.The issue I am having is that I am unsure where to attach the earth wire. I would like all three flex cords to run the full way up the lamp, rather than et being earthed somewhere near the base.Can I earth it inside the shade, on the metal mount holding the lamp holder in (blurry pic added, hope you can see what I mean). I was considering using an earth tag.Or is there a better way to achieve this.Thanks[IMG]

In case you're wondering. Lamps aren't typically grounded because the sockets are too tight for loose wires to migrate toward one another and the sockets are form-fitting insulated so a loose wire can't electrify the lamp (it's all intentional and designed to be safe without a ground/earth). Therefore, you really shouldn't ever need a ground/earth, because you can't electrify anything.

Though, you may not get much of or the whole lamp grounded/earthed, as many lamps have plastic (or insulating) washers at the joints and pivots. Again, it shouldn't EVER be an issue, but just so you understand the ground's/earth's extent.
