What is the name for a glass roof built in the style of a dome but just a set of 4 flat tapered lights?

Lantern?
A cupola. These come in various shapes. If constructed of 4 sheets of glass, they may be pyramidal, but not necessarily so. For instance, if the base is rectangular and not square, then you might have two triangles and two trapezia, meeting in a ridge.
