Not many peope die of heat or cold in the USA. It's poor countries where people die from extremes. Google it. Most sources say that cold is the big killer.
Poor people need food, housing, electricity, and fuel.
Crop yields are way up because of fertilizers derived from petrochemical feedstocks and the worlds limited supply of bulk phosphates. CO2 has very little to do with yield, and that very little is fundamentally limited.
So what? Climate change makes the extremes worse, on both ends.
