Where to find 1930's floor boards

Yes - following on from an earlier thread - a reclamation or salvage yard.

Where are you?

The one's I've been to usually have an excellent stock of what you're after. Some I've seen on the web specialise in hardwoods too at surprisingly reasonable prices, occasionally a normal yard might get a job lot in.

Cheers

Seconded, I had a similar experience of having to match boards (In my case 1890s boards, half a room, due to woodworm). Reclamation yard had exactly what I needed for less than the cost of doing the same area in

1990s chipboard.

I am renovating my floorboards in my living room (1930's house) and wan

to continue them through to my dining room extension (1990's).

The dining room just has board down though - no floorboards. Doe anybody know the best way to go about this or where i can buy som original 1930's floorboards from to fit in the diningroom over th board that is already down. I will need them to match the living roo boards well as the room continue through.

Thank you

The message from Jmorg contains these words:

I got some second hand boards from a place in Silsden 15 odd years ago. Went by the name of Muffs. Don't know if it is still a going concern as Mr Muff wasn't exactly in the first flush of youth even then. I don't have a current telephone directory but the number was still listed 2 years ago (as a ltd co).
