Many cleaning products I buy are just small quantites of cheap chemicals. I could easily make them up myself, but one ingredient I don't know how to get is "non ionic surfactant".
Does anyone know what chemical is generally used for this purpose? I guess it needs to be something that won't leave a film on surfaces or cause discoloration.
An example is dettol surface cleanser which contains:
0.096g Benzalkonium chloride per 100g (I have 5 litres of BAC 50) Perfume (I don't need this and tbh I'd rather not have it) <5% non ionic surfactants (the thing I'm looking for) Presumably the rest is distilled water - I have plenty of that from my dehumidifier.
