Wall hung bathroom sinks, lavatorys etc.

I see in the latest bathroom supplies catalogues the promotion of wall-hung units. Does the pipework have to be concealed behind panels or have the brochure artists never had to install a bathroom suite?

It doesn't *have* to be, but this is part of the point.

Have a look at the web sites of the two main manufacturers of the frames for doing this, Geberit and Grohe and you will find more than you ever wanted to know.

've just chosen some Grohe Rapid SL products for a cloakroom project, mainly because they had the sizes that I wanted and a decent quality flush button arrangement.

That's for a wall mounted WC pan. There are other frames in the range for bidets and basins, even corner mount if you want.

There is a lot of adjustability of height and depth for the support frame, then the procedure is to panel in front of the frame and conceal the cistern and pipes.

Of course. That's the whole point.

Well, if someone tried to fit back to wall or wall hung sanitaryware with pipes on display, they'd get the sack in seconds.

Gosh no, they only do the drawings in their spare time between fitting the units!

Ever fitted a bidet and then had to explain to the customer how it's used?
