U-Bend disaster; fess up or keep schtum?

Our kitchen U-bend, fitted by him indoors has come adrift again! Tsch! Men! Small flood on kitchen floor.But.. err..um.. I know what happened. We had pasta for tea and I rinsed the cooked pasta with a kettle full of just-boiled water over the sink.Should I fess up or keep schtum?And don't even come up with the rude stuff about favours I owe him as he's NOT IN THE MOOD. Big time.
