tumble dryer handle problem

It takes a strong tug to open te door of this Bosch tumble dryer to the extent that the handle is flexing away from the door and threatening to break. Can the lock mechanism be adjusted to ease the opening problem or what about a suitable adhesive to glue the handle firmly to the door?

When you get it open, not by excessive tugging, but a block of wood over the catch position and wood banged with a hammer, introduce silicone grease or similar on the pawl of the catch area.

Have you thought of using some grease such as Vaseline on the catch?
