I put up a new fence last year. 4 feet high by 30 feet long. Wooden posts and premade overlap fence panels***. All pressure treated, but it's time to think about some preservative treatment.
What's the best/easiest way to treat this? I probably have a sprayer somewhere, but I'm not sure whether wood preservative is safe to spray?
BTW, there's lawn more or less up to the edge of the fence, but no other plants.
Is there any sensible way to get preservative down into the underground parts of the posts? It's very sandy soil, so pouring a good load of preservative on the ground next to the posts would probably result in some of it trickling down. Very wasteful, though.
