I know this group if very knowledgeable about many subjects so I wondered about thoughts on this:
I bought a carton of potato and leek soup from a major supermarket on
9 February and stored it in the car for just over 24 hours (in cold weather). I ate half of it without incident on 10 February. I put the remainder in the fridge and consumed it on the evening of 11 February. At about 4 am I started to feel unwell and I was quite ill on 12 February (upstairs but not downstairs as my Danish cousin puts it) .
I have looked at the carton and it is 'Use by' 8 February. It was fully boiled on 10 February but microwaved the next day. I assumed that potato and leak would be completely safe but I see (to my surprise) that the ingredients also included cream and milk.
Any thoughts on whether food poisoning is likely?
