Toilet Bowl Fixing

Aug 16, 2004 2 Replies

I am not absolutely satisfied with the steadiness of the toilet bowl I have installed. Slight uneveness of the floor or pan! I've plumbed it all up and put packings around the base. Can I fill under the edge both to seal and steady the bowl without using something permanent like no-more-nails? If so what's the best sealer/filler?

TIA

Phil

I'd pack with hardboard next to and opposite the fixings, then cover the edge with sanitary silicone. No more nails is not sufficiently water or mould resistant

What, and hardboard is? ! :-) I'd bits of use thin ply or preferably plastic. David
