The practicalities of switching ISP

I phoned sky once to ask when my broadband would be fixed, it took a couple minutes and they announced that a jcb had hacked the cable before I got to speak to a CS bod.

Having never really needed CS on any ISP other than demon (to enable some options) I find them all to be OK.

The worst was virgin, but only in that they were a bit slow in answering news group queries.

I was with them for a bit a few years back, but they just don' work out competitive enough for our usage

£40 month for 80/20 FTTC, and 100 GB isn't enough for us (we will break 300GB this month - though that is also upload as well). I'm currently with Plusnet, paying £20/month for unlimited. Yes, A&A are very good, but not over twice the price good for me.

I think in the 9 years we have lived here I have contacted ISP support once
