Currently the cable from the wall mounted cooker switch goes to a wall mounted connection box/plate, directly behind the cooker, with screw terminals connecting to cooker with T&E. Allowing for diversity there is no issue with the 6mm2 cable and 32 amp MCB to run both. However, if my understanding is correct with a built oven hob I can't use the current plate to connect to the hob & oven as the screw terminals would not be accessible for inspection. Can just and connect, from the T&E in the connection plate to the cables from hob & cooker with wagos instead of the screwed connection and maybe a different cover for the back box with strain relief? I'm intending to avoid appliances with a plug as would like to avoid putting hidden sockets in cupboards. The old cooker is connected with T&E but should heat resistant stranded cable be used?
