has anyone ever bought any sticky hooks that stay on.
The ones I have just bought lasted two days before it fell off (holding up a tea towel)
I have some heavy-duty replacement sticky pads that stay up "forever". Why can't the demand hooks come with them in the first place

I have, got them from Wilkinsons I think, the 3M ones? They've been holding up photo frames for at least 3 years now, supposed to be removable too. I went a size up from the "recommended" weight hooks though, I'd buy the biggest you can get away with and prepare the surface well.
Yes, but not with sticky foam pads, these you had to wet and hold in place while they dried, not seen that type for years (decades?)
Are those 3M "command adhesive" ones any better?
Having had exposure to 3M VHB advesives lately, I'd be inclined to try those.
We got one from Homebase a good while ago. The backplate of it sticks on the door, then the hook plate just slides on. Dead good but I don't think they are very cheap.
