Had a North Face Goretex jacket...useless. Paramo is much much better and doesn't wear out. You just have clean and reproof it every so often.
But of course it's for proper outdoor use up mountains and the like. Not posing in Waitrose.

The problem (apart from people replying to him, often the same bunch of A.R. trolls) isn't just the inability to snip, but the inability to prefix all his posts with OT (as they inevitably are), capitalise or punctuate.
It would be as if he is going out of his way to be as anti-social as possible, part of his MO it seems.
I think the whole point of having a hobby (like R.A.) is that you did it now and again, rather than polluting the content of otherwise good groups like this one? There are few left precisely because of him and his kind.
It's as if it really is his sole intention and anyone who supports him is supporting that goal? ;-(
We know he's more than happy to talk to himself but if enough people ignore him (and the good people here generally do), even he must get bored eventually and go where he can get some attention (till *they* work him out for the troll he is)?
