SOT: merging pdf files (ILovePDF)

On further investigation, it seems that 'Print to pdf' creates a different page size to 'Save as'.

There are a couple parts to a scan like that.

The image has not been lost. What the scanner did.

It may also have done OCR and overlaid text on the images. That can be extracted as font resources, but probably not recycle-able.

The basic scan has not been lost.

You'll need to convert the image files back into PDF, but this time, with a bounding box.

My attempts to do a good job of that, aren't working out. The image appears on the page, but the page is the wrong size. Or at least, on conversion back into an image, as a form of checkprint, it's wrong.

Maybe someone else has a tool that works properly.
