Sockets to kitchen sink

There is a recommendation (not strictly a reg) that they should be 30cm from the edge of the sink.

That's what I understood. Is this from the sinks edge or the taps? I assume fused spurs (isolation switches) are OK to be within 30cm.

Section 5.2.2 (iv)

"Accessories should be installed a minimum of 300mm from the edge of kitchen sinks and draining boards to reduce the risk of being splashed"

So, to address your points: -

1. Sink and draining board not tap.
2. Accessories includes sockets, fused spurs, light switches, isolation switches, cooker controls, etc.
3. There is a similar guidance re 300mm from cookers and advice against needing to reach over a cooker to operate an accessory.

What if say a socket is 150mm from the end of a drainer? Opposite end to the bowl. And an RCD or RCBO mcb is fitted? Would the RCD be acceptable.
