evening all,
Have a funny problem with the kitchen taps, whenever the water is running a strange stale smell is released.
any ideas what might be causing this?

Any chance that the water running down the plug hole is bringing up the smell?

Are you sure it`s not a chlorine bleach smell?
The water in our area is renown for it`s excessive chlorine smell..
Failing that , as someone else has suggested, it might be something nasty in your cold water header tank in the loft or top of the airing cupboard ( which feeds the hot water tank)
