Either a person is the same person throughout life, or he might as well be anyone.

it might be possible to be a "different" person later in life, and yet still need to make retribution for the crimes that you did as the "other" person. "Finding god" or whatever, cannot be allowed as a get out of jail free card for criminal activity.

But is is never reasonable for you to need to make retribution for someone else's crimes

I am glad to say that amongst my group of friends, none of us change much when we have a drink (observed on many occassions from a sober point of view by each, as we used to take turns as designated driver).

I have however worked with a guy who became very angry and argumentative, sometimes violent (even when you were agreeing with him!) after only a couple of drinks.

I'll stick to my Cambridge Audio NP30 for streaming, my Arcam Alpha 5+ for CDs and my Valve Amp feeding my Mission 752s thanks.

Would that mean that a drunk driver that breaks the law is not quilty of breaking the law once sobered up.
