Shelf Bracket

Some years ago I brought a shelf bracket that was just a triangular section longitudonal hollow section metal bar with a slot in it that fitted to the wall and the shelf slotted into it. Very neat and very strong. Cant find it in Homebase or B&Q. Does anyone know if it still exists or where I can buy it?

IKEA has them.

These hang on slots I assume and can be adjusted for height. I bought some from V/Q last year though to me the thickness or the material was a bit less than the old ones were.

I know what you mean and I thought they were called floating shelves but I'm wrong - they are ones where you cant see the brackets at all.

I looked through all the IKEA range but, although someone reckons the do the ones you want, I couldn't spot any ...

Thanks to everyone that answered. I did look at the B&Q hanging shelf but at the price I thought they were having a laugh.

I ended up buying a cheapie one from Homebase (=A39.99)

Thanks again

I assume you mean a bracket that has a cross section the same/similar to

I purchased, many years ago, a similar system where the bracket was whole length of the shelf with a fixed width slot to take standard width contiboard or shelves. I also want some more but have been unable to find them.

I purchased 3 and used one as a master to drill the fixing holes, only to find that on the other 2 brackets the holes were in different positions. Even on the one I used as the master I subsequently found that the pre-drilled holes were on a somewhat random pitch.
