What an excellent video from someone who is educated, skilled, perceptive, and very familiar with the subject. Contrast that video with the pronouncements of Ed Milliband.

But then you may run into other environmental problems. Much of the 1st world agriculture relies on fertiliser derived from oil/gas production.

We never needed wind, or solar.

They were always ways to make money, not reliable electricity.

According to the alarmists the world is awash with carbon dioxide. What people do not understand is that the current world agricultural production depends on fertilisers made with natural gas.

Now they could be made using electricity as well, but the cost....

We are where we are.

Golly. That's a bit deep. I always thought we ere somewhere else.

But we don’t have to stay there. Scrap the renewables rubbish and move back to cheap, reliable energy - something renewables will never be.

Only loonies would create a system that has no inherent stability, and ‘solve’ that by employing spinning mass that does nothing other than slowly lose frequency when the grid starts to go unstable giving time for all the renewables’ inverters to shut down gracefully. And then the lights go out.

But weirdly, just about every country in the world isn’t following your advice. It’s a mystery.

Indeed. But there seem to be few countries proposing to use renewable energy sources to power their AI data centres. Another mystery.

Not really. People in power are their for money or power. Building reliable energy nets them neither.

Bandar Log-ic "we are all doing it so it must be right" is the most stupid piece of illogic there is...

It's jealousy. They don't have visionaries who can point out the 'real facts'.

Weirdly, the government was embarrassed enough about the situation to remove some of the ‘green subsidies’ that consumers were paying for in their energy bills.

ACtually we are. Without those nasty foreigners buying our debt (Now £3 trillion), it would be game over for the welfare state.

And remember that those coal, gas and oil reserves came about because the planet was massively covered with trees, greenery and all the other stuff that got converted over many hyndreds of millions of years, and believe O2 levels were a bit higher than it is now, which helped stuff grow even faster. Also might explain how ginormous dinosaurs actually managed to self-propel themselves.

Today we don't have that tree cover, and 8 billion people need most of what is being grown to keep themselves in food and warmth. We already waste vast amounts of land to grow maize etc that is simply used to make ethanol to keep the Greenies happy by adding it to biofuel.
