A pal of mine has bought a garage. The interior walls are comprised of breeze blocks with a smooth overcoat of render. We'd like to brighten up the interior with some brilliant white emulsion, but were wondering if it's advisable to seal the interior render surface first. This could be some concentration of PVA maybe or stabilising solution or SBR?? We're a bit clueless. The surface is smooth and sound, though, so maybe we don't need anything at all?? Your advice most welcome!
