I think its just a rough translation for the French website
Maybe they couldn't spell Ecossais
A previous version of the page had Scotch

However if you look at the category breadcrumbs they've listed it as a product within English hinges.

Is it "Scotch" as in a (disputed) adjective for Scottish, or is it "scotch" as in "block/prop with a chock, put an end to/stamp out"?

And even with their ?slightly higher VAT rate too
