Are official reports of summary trials publicly available?

Or do you perhaps mean media reports?

Wasn't that 'card' meant to be a digital thing? I wonder how you, like me, who carries no 'app' handling device, was supposed to display it on request? Maybe Dr Who. had the answer, he showed a card that displayed whatever the viewer expected to see.

I have seen the corollary to that. There is a car spares shop near where I live that provides what they regard as consumables: Oils and fluids, gaskets, disc pads, fuses, bulbs etc and it is the "go to" place for the small garages and workshops that want things for the car they are working on. It has a steady turnover and has been there for years.

I went in there for a replacement rotor arm for a 1971 Triumph. The man on the counter got out a book, looked up the part number and disappeared among the shelves behind him to get it. There was a little stand on the counter holding a card which was completely blank on my side. Curious, I turned it round, and on the other side was printed "The customer is never a flaming nuisance. The customer is the reason you are employed." I turned it back just before the man came back with my rotor arm. And he did his job properly, asking me if I needed a new points set if I was working on the distributor.

I had a similar experience when foxing a really old Kenwood Chef. The lady at the far end said 'do you want the capacitors as well ' I said 'I don't know' she said 'most people buy them as well'.

Damned RIFA mains caps. I didn't know then what I know now. Nothing beats the grown up woman whose been working the stores for the last 40 years..

I had a similar experience some years back. I was after some bearings for a hub assembly of uncertain origin. I went to the local bearing monger, and the lady behind the counter just looked at the rusty remains that I took in and said something along the lines of "oh, it's a xyz123, how many do you want ?". Sure enough, the bearings were a perfect fit.
