Is there an easy way of removing adhesive (used to stick carpet down with)from Parquet flooring.

Not really, lots of scraping, sanding and polishing involved unfortunately! You can make the job slightly less labour intensive by using power sanders and scrapers but I still wouldn't call the whole proccess 'easy'.
