Replace with stone?
How long have you got left?
Getting dry and old varnish has worn off. With all the various oils and preservatives on the market wonder what the group would recommend as best treatment.

I was tempted to say replacement is not an option although I was thinking of plastic not stone. Presumably it would need to be granite or similar so as not to wear down.
