Take great care that persons liver a wonderful gift.

It's really not that bad, once you ignore the midges.

Are you saying you can't get a supermarket to deliver, even when on the at risk list?

If so sounds like you could do with a better council - considering the high rates you say you pay.

He should be able to. We've got priority deliveries for Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's which are the main local supermarkets.

A couple of days ago I got a phone call from the council to check that we were managing to cope in the lockdown. Can't ask for better service than that.

Same here - although I only registered with Tesco. They've delivered within a couple of days of ordering.

Same here. They arranged a food parcel before I could get registered with a supermarket. But that was four weeks ago.

Install midge-proof window screens, and even the Highlands become tolerable...

Actually I'm immune to midges.

The wailing of the mating haggi in the glen keeps me awake at night though.

Most semis are group D (like mine) or Group C.

£220/month is exhorbitant. Are there any business rates attached to the property, or is purely residential.?

Think I pay a fair bit more than that.

Either that or the downstairs neighbours are talking to each other.

Council have provided some recipe ideas

I've never seen a recipe for beans on toast before.

I have, but I can't find it at the moment.

It didn't involve opening a tin :-)

No beans in a tin?

Home-made Boston baked beans on toasted slices of home-made wholemeal toast. Simple. (And v nice with a Pinot Noir.) Just bloody time consuming - and hence of course impossible if you've only got 10 minutes before I-wanna-eat time [time lords excepted].
