And how many would that be, then?

So pray tell just how you know? Crystal ball?

Quite.

Like many old farts I've been interested to hear how similar aged friends etc have got on. Only two out of about 100 have had a severe reaction to the vaccine. One lasted about 3 weeks, but is fine now. The other may have a DVT in a leg, and is pretty upset about it, but had the first jab only 3 weeks ago.

In the same group, one has died of Covid. No less than four others have long Covid. For many months now.

6 have had mild(ish) Covid and seem to have recovered well.

Pretty well all are in the old (retired) group that have been serious about observing social distancing, etc. So not representative of those still working normally.

You other than it being splashed all over the news?

Don't know exactly because, as I said they don't tell us.

Because general statistics of death esp from AZ have been published but not actual number. They've gone quiet about Pfizer but their figures are a little better. By the way the animals, mice and primates used in tests of the AZ vaccine all died.

Which news? Can you give me the specific number for the UK this month for example?

A man observes another man tearing up newspapers and throwing them out of the train window. "Excuse me, but why are you doing that?" "It keeps the elephants down" "But there are no elephants" "It's very effective"...

Mice do not live very long dear

Do you have a test that shows death due to clotting and low platelets is caused by the AZ (or another) vaccine? If not then your question is incapable of being answered.

OTOH the MHRA continues to publish figures for cumulative cases and deaths in those recently vaccinated. If you subtract then you can work out the additional deaths in the intervbal.

TLDR: the truth is out there if you can be bothered to look.

Now don't wriggle. Is it less than 10, 10-100, 100-1000, or what?

A little better than a figure not published, then?

Any more you'd like to share with us from your Aunty Vera's facebook page?

Mice and primates aren't animals?

"Among more than 20 million people who have been vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine in the UK so far, 79 cases of rare blood clots with low platelets have been reported, as well as 19 deaths, said the UK?s Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency. This equates to around one case per 250?000 people vaccinated?0.0004%?and one death in a million.

About 100?000 people usually develop blood clots every month in the EU, and 3000 cases a month are thought to occur in the UK."

Yet you trust this one.

Yet, some of us have had these vaccines, we're still here, and we're as kooky as ever.

The day you have shortness of breath, your PulseOx is down to 70, is not the time to be thinking "maybe I was a twit about getting vaccinated". It's too late then. And with the crowd at the hospital, it doesn't take too many timing errors, for them to fail to reverse your descent. They tired. They're worn out. One more dopey lout to fix, you're not going to get their best effort, every day of the week.

If you get put on a ventilator, you're going to be one pissed-off punter when you come to two weeks later, and 50lb lighter. And at that point, the best description for you would be "alive - but ruined beyond recognition".

That's what it's like, sailor.

Remember that some who come off a ventilator, are ruined enough to be looking for a lung transplant. And guess what, the young people have priority for those. If you're an oldish sod, get the shot! There will be no pity for you otherwise. They'll give the lungs to the young people.

I don't know if you've ever had a shortness of breath event - I have, and yes, it did make a believer out of me. You wouldn't have to tell me twice to get a vaccine.
