That's because they were all liars. Still, at least the Greens/LibDems have fessed up to their lies now.
Indeed.

The EU parliament vote was a cliffhanger and Von der Leyen nearly didn't get voted in. That's democracy for you.
Not only did she have to pass a vote of MEPs but she had to get nominated, as one of 4 candidates, by democratically elected heads of government of EU member countries.
You could almost call that process "double democracy".
That was certainly more democratic than the tactical voting shenanigans amongst Tory MPs which conspired to put Boris forward in the last stage against a deliberately weak opponent. You wouldn't get dodginess with the EU system.
Theresa May's plan was a very long way from BRINO.
Do you have a reference for where other political parties stated they "promised to honour the result of the referendum" ?
But he cost have to do anything to see a no deal brexit.
Being able to decide which EUians will be allowed to move to the UK.
Democracy? Give over.
So a chumocracy process then.
No, as the single candidate presented to MEPs.
Double bollocks more like.
You after being awarded an EU pension or something?
Do you mean apart from their manifestos?
It left the decision of when we were ready to leave the EU to the EU. A better description of BRINO is difficult to imagine.
There was a parliamentary debate just after the referendum results were announced, and the TV news reported it. It will be in Hansard.
Jim
I mean whatever "Meanwhile the other political parties who promised to honour the result of the referendum, didn't do so."
And the ability to design products for purpose, instead of to increase profits for german manufacturers.
I cant WAIT for a full fat 3Kw Henry vacuuum cleaner! And electric kettle too.
It was certainly in both the Conservative and Labour manifestos as well as wherever Jim is referring to. It wasn't in the social undemocrats or the let's all live in caves and go to work on donkeys manifestos.
Yet more lies from tnp..
you can buy a 3kw kettle in currys, the EU has done nothing to stop you.
You can buy loads of vacs that more than the 620W EU limit on household vacs too.
Just search for commercial vacuums. Not that they will be any better in performance as input power is pretty much irrelevant.
My vac is limited to 1400W by the power take off on the auto start, not by the need to have a 3kw motor. It will easily outperform a 3kw henry.
my Henry is only 850 watts and I've had it for years - why would I need a more powerful one?
You don't but TNP wants to blame the EU for anything and everything.
Why do you think he keeps saying the EU wants an army to attack us.
He is barmy and his supporters are too.
To get things cleaner, obviously
I was wondering that. TNP seemed to be created a problem where none existed before he got involved.
How dare you? From one with a brain the size of Trump?
I'm not in favour of another referendum, but would like to know the results of one where leaving with no deal is an option. Because this wasn't even mentioned during the run up to the last one. It was all about us leaving but retaining the bits we wanted.
If Boris gets his way, they might need an army to defend themselves from us. ;-)
"dennis@home" snipped-for-privacy@invalid.invalid posted
What is the purpose of the EU limit then?
Normal practice for TNP and his cronies.
