yes, that's a modern plastic Roberts, I'd suspect just as tinny as any other modern plastic radio. The traditional ranges are made of wood and leather, have larger speakers and are of heavier build. I have 4 of them around my house and workshop, even at high volumes they don't distort at all! and they can go quite loud!
