printer toner

Jul 29, 2026 1 Replies

I bought a set of compatible cartridges for a Brother LED printer in May. When I inserted them they wouldn't register.

I tried every test known to man and finally wrote to the supplier. Not hearing anything from them I got ChatGPT to search for them. They had stopped trading. THey traded as Stickink.com which is/was a trade name of Solar Electronics Ltd.

How I came to buy from them is a story in itself but I wish I hadn't.

If you can't use them - and don't mind a bit of mess - you can use the toner in them to refill an empty cartridge for another printer. That, of course, is only of use for cartridges without page counter chips, or those that can be defeated with software or hardware fixes.
