Polishing floor tiles

Feb 08, 2005 1 Replies

Hi there....

My 1920's semi has a lovely tiled floor in the hallway which needs a lot of TLC!. I've read various postings here about using diluted brick acid to clean.... I've tried this and it helped a bit.... but some of the tiles are badly pitted and I think I need to use one of those floor polishing gizmos that will take some of the surface of the tiles...

Does anyone have any hints on the best way to restore badly pitted /stained tiles and where to hire one of these machines?

Thanks!

Simon

You won't do that with a standard floor polisher. You need diamond grit discs. Hard to find and hard to use. Get a specialist in.
