Plumbnation

A Stelrad radiator that I obtained from Plumbnation at the beginning of December last year was too big, and heavy, for me to diy install, so it went into the garage until I could get someone to plumb it in, which took two months. During the installation, the plumbers pointed out damage to the top plate, caused in transit, so I emailed Plumbnation to ask about a replacement. Expecting them to say that I should have claimed at the time of delivery I wasn't surprised that my email didn't get a reply. A replacement top plate arrived this morning.

I suspect they have had more than one of these so are ready for it, it may well be a batch came to them with damage and hence they set up a routine to deal with this. Brian

Not my experience with Plumbnation. I ordered a Myson MRTE Thermostat on 17 th Dec 2020 website said 3 - 7 days for delivery so did confirmation email. A second email next day changed that to 13th Jan 2021. It duly arrived on that date supplied through a local branch of PTS. After 10 days I got in touch with Plumbnation owing to the thermostat going through batteries at a rate of a set every three days. I was told that someone would phone me back about it, when nothing happened I phoned again only to be told it had to go through a warranty procedure. I pointed out to them that I had already contacted Myson and it was a case of mend it with a new one, besides it was faulty from the box and less than 28 days since acquisition therefore subject to refund or replacement. Again was told someone would contact me within 72 hours. Again no contact and had to phone up again. This time the person on the phone said the faulty one would be collected on the next Wednesday and the replacement would be with me the following Monday. This was now the end of January, the faulty one was collected not the Wednesday specified but the next one. I eagerly awaited the replacement and after 2 weeks got in touch with PTS direct to cut out the middleman only to told the faulty one had to go into ?isolation? (2 weeks!!!). Anyway got told they would look into the delay and the new one from Myson should with me the following Monday. It finally arrived on Tuesday 2nd March 2021. I now look at it anxiously every day to see if it is still working fearing a repeat performance in case it does not work.

K2 450x2400mm - weighs 63kg. (Double+fin). The pallet it came on was damaged, so I should have looked more closely.

Don't read too much into it, Brian. I think it had been stabbed by a forklift truck's fork. If they had been organised for it then it shouldn't have taken a month to get a replacemen part.

I ordered one of those the day before you. Should have been here on 12 January but arrived three days later, which seemed to be a response to my otherwise unanswered 'where is it?' email on 12th.
