Are Stelrad radiators good?

I need to replace a 600 x 600 mm radiator (small leak) with something that will fit in the same space, although it can be thicker. I've found a Stelrad Elite K2 rated at 1067 W, & the price at the local plumbers' merchant seems reasonable. Are these good?

They always used to be reasonably good. Not tried them recently though.

good value, nothing wrong with them .... always used twin panel + convector versions. (K2 compact for example) Look at K3 .. they have higher heat output for same physical w x l as they have better convection fins.

Seem to be OK - they have a good name... Local place wanted a lot for the one that I ordered, so I got it from

for less than half the price delivered.

Have you looked at Screwfix' range - no idea how good they are.

Fairly cheap. Seem to work, but not as nice as the ones I got locally.

I don't know the Elite range but had a couple of Stelrad Concord doubles fitted in October and they proved to be very good. The output of the two is higher than that of the three 'standard' double panel rads they replaced and, if you like modern designs, the aesthetics are good. I didn't fit them myself as new under-floor pipework was needed and the weight was far too much for one person to manage.

My parents' Stelrad radiators have been in for forty years now, with no problems.

Yeah they are well made radiators. Ultraheat are also good.
