Plugging holes in weatherboarding

May 17, 2006 2 Replies

Inevitably the weatherboarding I've got has one or two knots that have dropped out - what is the suggested filling for 1 cm diameter holes ?

========================= One possibility - a short length of 10mm dowelling glued in.

Cic.

Almost anything.

You can use a colored frame sealant, to match the finish.

You can cut circles out with a hole cutter and use em as plugs into a similar sized hole cut round the knot area.

Plastic wood would probably work, as will car body filler, Milliput, etc etc.
