plastic curtain rail problem

Mar 11, 2007 6 Replies

I'm trying to straiten a plastic curtain rail (the ones that come in coil).

Any suggestions or tips on how to do this easily?

Chuck it into a bath of hot water and after a few minutes take it out and lay flat

I hate the bloody stuff! Better off buying the straight lengths & bending them. As the man said, bath of hot water.

why buy that rubbish? aluminium tracks are much better ( but dearer )

Fine for an office but a bit functional for the home

Conjures up an image of the OP laying on the floor looking at a hot roll of moulded plastic set in a circle...
