OT: Watership Down Review

Well its only one step away, Modern cartoons use CGI for 'tweening' between the frames to make them look smooth and reduce the workload on animators. The CGI has just replaced the positions with a supposedly more solid looking form of 'reality'. It al really depends on the design of the thing being animated and what attributes the movements were given to start with. I imagine to get real rabbit movements most bunnies might not want to have little tracking spots added to their fur and tracked by the computer. Brian

I notice that now Iphones have devoted a whole app into creating your own animated face of whatever design you like speaking your words. Talk a about a waste of computing power. That is one app I shall not be using. Brian

Know what you mean, Squire; know what you mean (nudge-nudge, wink-wink).

And you are old enough to know that Old Yeller gets both the tears and the vaginal juices flowing on a young gullible female if Watership Down fails..

I was only briefly into westerns when I was still a boy. Never got around to OY; but did do Savage Sam by the same author. First novel I ever read IIRC. I was in the classics department of Waterstones up off the Strand a few weeks ago and was shocked and almost horrified by how many of the great old books there I'd read at one time or another over the past half- century. On the one hand I'm thinking all that time I wasted reading classics when I could have been shagging birds, but on the other hand shagging birds never expanded one's mind or one's wallet, so maybe I was better off sticking with the books. Certainly my contemporaries who were shagging at around 10:1 the rate I was have ended up in much poorer circumstances overall than I have. Swings and roundabouts I guess. All things considered, therefore, no regrets.
