OT: This from Twitter

Cured my daughter of her flirtation with Sixth-Form Socialism. "Taxed" her allowance & "redistributed" it to her younger brother. #JobDone

Another tweet: "Just heard from a friend that a student in Canterbury thought his loan was going to be written off now that labour has won the constituency."

The whole point of a state controlled education system is to breed a generation stupid enough to vote for Laber

Twitter & Facebook, the reason we are where we are now. It is not social media, more socialist media. In the earlier days of twitter, I wondered why the BBC was so keen on pushing it.

Most things are not what they seem to a logical brain, because politics has little to do with logic at all. Can you imagine if everyone who owes a student loan was allowed not to pay it off when their income rose to the critical level even under the plan of Labour? The country would be broke overnight as the costings are for future students, not already encumbered ones

I guess its only with experience of the world that you realise the truth about such things as stealth taxes and the constraints on free money. Quantitiv Easing is devaluation by another name unless you find a money tree. IE some kind of resource we can use that other countries want to buy from us.

The rather sad fact about true socialism is that it would only work if everyone ran their countries that way. In the real world a bankrupt country is a poor country. Just look at some African countries

Of course it was ironic. I don't know why he had to add the comment

Wonder if that's the same one who was interviewed after Brexit and thought all immigrants would be returned to their country of origin?
