OT: Swansea Tidal Lagoon rejected

But I didn't call him one. ;-)

Yup, many did.

Yup.

Quite probably. We are still short of 150,000 doctors or some such and we aren't training that number over here.

I wonder who was in chare of that ... oh yes, our current PM!

The point is, the leavers (or fanatic ones anyway) actually seemed to think that we would / will actually just leave cold. One woman they interviewed (just a punter on the street) said we should have just left the day after the referendum, like there wasn't anything that needed sorting out first . And these are the sort of people who were allowed to vote in our lottery/////// 'democracy'. ;-(

To T i m , yes.

Because someone in the Guardian said so.

100% wrong again. ;-(

I guess for that to be the case I'd have to read the Guardian ... so, that's another 100% fail.

Well done, keep up the good work.

Here we go again. Could you please back up that offensive allegation with quotations? If you can.

Circumstantial evidence based on a downright lie.

Wanting to reduce immigration is not racism.

Depending on *why* you want to it might not be.

Those who shout racism the loudest seem to be those most intolerant of others in our society and demonstrate a prejudice greater than that they deride for others.

Exactly so.

Oddly, you don't get many on here starting a non-racist rant... ;-)

The racist rants are usually from remainers.

Of course they have and so have many remainers. We had a whole referendum campaign stating just what it meant by both side of the argument. You of course sat with your head up your arse throughout and then didn't vote.

Oh look. Another lying Brexiteer?

Cummon then, prove me wrong ... tell me just how soft a turd of a Brexit you would still consider a Brexit?

No remainers have stated any such thing because, unlike the Brexiteers:

1) They don't want us to leave the EU so don't need to justify anything to retain the Status Quo and: 2) Don't make stuff up (they have no need to, see above).

Oh yes, I remember that. Isn't that where Leave are currently under investigation for illegal practices, potential involvement by the Russians and we caught posting blatant lies on the sides of busses?

Yeah. Just hopes and dreams for the Brexiteers as to get a 'deal' we have to deal with the EU. Given we already have a better deal than many of the later EU member that was always going to be a big ask.

The only thing you could *promise* is we walk away and that was predicted to cost us even more.

The irony is that I used more 'sense' on the day then you did. I didn't vote on a complete unknown (outcome, given NO ONE knows what that will be yet).

You won, get ready to be persecuted by the 2/3rds of the electorate who didn't vote for it.

People like Doom and so on are remainers? You live and learn.

Total bollocks. Please post a link from the time stating the problem with the Irish border.

There isn't a problem for us with the Irish border. It's the EU that has the problem, But for some inexplicable reason Theresa May took it upon us to solve it.

Yes, it's quite simple. We announce that, come what may, we will not be installing a hard border between the IR and NI. If the EU forces the Irish to put one there on their side, that's their affair. And they can't, anyway, as that would be at variance with the agreement.

Really? We leave the EU. To stop free movement. Then anyone who chooses can go to Eire from the EU and walk across the border. Is that the secure borders Brexiteers went on and on and on about? And then with a hard Brexit, there are bound to be tariffs. So a smuggler's paradise.

Time for you to take your head out of the sand.

But wont have the paperwork to be able to work and will still be an illegal, just like those who show up in a small boat across the channel.

Is that the secure

Hardly any of them did that.

There will most likely be far fewer tariffs.;

So a

Not if there are far fewer tariffs because it isnt in the UK interest to have them.

Even if May does survive and the UK ends up with the same tariffs as now, it still wont be any more of a smuggler's paradise. And it already is a smuggler's paradise anyway, but into Eire instead and Eire handles that fine; and the clearly considered that when they included the open border in the agreement.

We'll see...

It depends on who you mean by "us". The open Irish border was part of the Good Friday agreement which saw the end of the IRA campaign of bombing - both in Northern Ireland & the British mainland. Do you want a return to that?
