Rod Speed would refer to the UK as "That soggy little island". This winter, he is right, it is very soggy.

Umm, not according to the Met Office. Their once-a-week deep dive YouTube videos seem to indicate that the Western Isles of Scotland (who normally get the brunt of the winter storms) have received a lot less rain than usual.
Meanwhile on the other side Aberdeen really is soggy, along with the Somerset levels (again)
I heard on the radio it's rained every day so far this year.
It has certainly rained almost every day here in East Anglia. Seeing the sun is like ancient civilisations worshipping the sun every morning when it came up over the horizon.
BBC News this morning reported on at least 2 places which have had rain every day for the last 48.

Rod might be salty with the island that sent him to Oz as a convict?
