Gentlemen,Road tax disks were abolished in the UK a while ago, I believe. I'msomehow doubting the actual tax itself was abolished, though. I've used that junction many times, Southampton to Gatwick. It's not great, but not too bad.

Have to go to Heathrow on Saturday :(

probably OK going north onto the M25 - it's the southbound direction that tends to get blocked.

Yeah, there is usually moderate congestion on the approach from the north. Once on the exit to the M3 it's not *too* bad. Average speed cameras for a while seem to keep the flow moving. Entering the M25 from the M3 from the south going either way doesn't usually give too much trouble.
