OT:Quadcopter cameras

I vague recall they were mentioned here a while ago. For some reason Amazon has just flashed an example of one to me (people who bought this also bought ....)

which kind got me thinking ... are these things behind the massive increase in aerial shots in modern TV documentaries ? Like in Top Gear last night, where they few over the town ?

For me, it really is a solution looking for a problem ;)

Had a quick look and couldn't see any mention of a camera.

Also, can fly outside (possibly) on a calm day?
