I was loo9king at Google Maps, which is almost identical, apart from an aircraft landing on runway 09R and one taxiing into Terminal 4.

+1 I cannot confirm the name of the newspaper but I found a copy of something very similar in a fish and chip shop in Shropshire just before Xmas. I read a tiny bit while waiting for the fish to be cooked, and took it for further reading. Everything is a conspiracy :) It was used to light the log burner!

No log burner here. Our copy made it from the doormat, below the letterbox, directly outside and into the recycling bin.

Perhaps they were too plain to see, giggle.

I wonder how you put photos of Airports on Google Earth, since people get very suspicious of aerial drones and street view is not going to cut it. Maybe its so the photo won't date. As an aside recently, there were drones given permission to fly over parts of the Heathrow buildings to do a roof inspection, as some pilots saw them and mentioned them, and the reply was that they are geofenced from active areas. That's what I was thinking. Maybe, their previous photos were out of date, so they took the opportunity of Covid to update them?

I'm sure that Google process the images before stitching them together, but I can't see why they would deliberately remove aircraft or cars. So, the more likely explanation is that they were in short supply at the time the photo was taken => Covid.

...From their beachfront properties, protected from sea level rise by the wokeness and climate virtue of their owners...Just like that Danish king C*ut, or an anagram thereof

I looked at FlightRadar during lockdown, and there were quite a few survey planes flying grids in various parts. I don't think I noticed them simply because there wasn't much else flying, I think they were taking advantage of the reduced traffic.

This link is what I'm seeing on Google Earth Pro. I appreciate it may well have been during lockdown, but there are no moving vehicles on the M4, just parked/stationary vehicles. I mean, not even one. Same for all the roads as far as I can see.

Clearly there's manipulation.

They are removed during the combining of multiple images from multiple angles to generate the 3D mapping. It would look a complete mess if all the moving objects were left in. If you go to parts of the country where only 2D mapping is available then all the moving objects will still be present.

The roadmender crew are still working near the "aiming point" on runway 27 R

the image date seems to be 20/4/2020

I can just about see why they might airbrush out the planes, but would they really airbrush in the parked up food service truck and baggage trains?

Is this a glitch in the matrix?

Thank you, that makes perfect sense. Problem solved, I think.

but, you have to remember that showing airfield and runways never used to happen on OS Maps. there were just fields (to confuse the enemy?).

I thought that was only at active military sites.

It doesn't explain the lack of stationary aircraft at the vacant stands though. Covid lockdown does.

Images from different angles are taken at different times, days or months apart so it does explain lack of stationary aircraft.

OS was for theuse of the british Army, different maps were produced for different purposes. I rememeber driving in West Wales using an OS (british) which showed the pipeline from that big oil terminal towards the big airfields, luuckily I was never caught with it. Some of the Palestinian Groups had maps on the internet that showed the villages from which the Arabs of all religions had been driven after 1948. What the like of google maps show is what the Americans want to show.

Yet Google Maps shows an almost identical image, down to the positions of the airport service vehicles and cars in car parks, with one aircraft on runway 09R, one taxiing into Terminal 4 and all the stands also empty.
